Lyrics:
we are the hands of the great clockmaker acting on will
ripping apart the soul from the flesh
and never again will mortality drag us
to hell, breaching the flames
feeding the demon with all of our turmoil
now bound, given our orders
traverse the earth and bring down its might
slaughter the weak
crushing the foolish
destroying soldiers who have abdicated
rip them apart
feed on their flesh
a show of gore that will last through the ages
Annhilation
it is the end of this life manifest
open the seal
wreak havoc and death
We are the ones that the heavens detest
we are the machinations of the planet that you have created for us
Life in the world
the mind over form
protecting our homeland from fear
Our men, our mind and our might
banding together, an effort creates
the bastion of hope
the greatest machine
defense from the forces of hell
vanquish our foe
rescue the trodden
protect this life that we’ve struggled to keep
stay with the light
it’s on our side
by men and by God we will always prevail

Anonymous asked: Hey man, im getting a ux1 this weekend and i'll start recording/mixing then, but there's something that i don't quite understand (theoretically). I don't plan on going "djent" though i heard bulb's patch by itself sounds a bit incomplete, but it sounds awesome in a mix context (it it's given eq'ing etc). Is a guitar track by itself supposed to sound not that great to be awesome in a mix ? Thanks : )
that is so odd, google chrome is messing up, so i have to answer this with internet explorer. but i’m sure you don’t care about that :P ANYWAY!
no, but yes. I’ll explain farther down, so if you wanted the short answer, that’s it.
I’ll put it to you like this: in the context of a mix, everything should make room for each other. this is why a full-bottomed scooped guitar tone will sound fine by itself but the moment you record it it sounds GROSS.
while i was never a fan of Bulb’s tones (they always sound thin hollow and nasty to me, no offense to the guy, of course, it’s just preference) he knows his stuff. guitar is a midrange instrument so it shouldnt be taking up the frequency board where other instruments need it.
however also note, misha goes for a very specific sound, he’s concerned with that metallic “chunk” sound from the guitar. when I build tones, i use a lot more gain and low end because i want it to have some of that ballsy sound for huge chords, but i always give it a highmid boost so it can do those “djenty” bits when i want to.
the guitar tone can sound however you want, but you just gotta be cognizant of how much frequency board space it’s taking up. Bulb’s tones from the old sevenstring directory relied heavily on post-processing to get that gel in the mix, and i think he said that in the SS.org interview he did. however it’s a better practice to get a tone that sounds how you want and kinda make slight tweaks to make it fit.
sorry for the long complicated answer! if i didnt make it clear feel free to ask off of anon and i’ll send you a personal answer instead!
I’ve just re-mixed and mastered my previous effort, Death of a monarch for your listening pleasure! get it at the link above! for those of you who know my material, it also contains a hidden track that most of you have not heard before and is part of an EP that i’ll be releasing on 9/10/11
please reblog! i wanna spread some word and get people excited!
again, the quality isn’t my best but it wasn’t recorded with what i use now. still, i hope you guys like it!

hey all! little clip of another trollface song! Same setup but i’m testing out some slam gutterals and a new method for doing highs.
any opinions or tips are welcome as i’m kinda new to both methods.
